VRooM - The VR..Mobile - Inspired by Google, Powered by Amazon...and Leroy-Merlin !

An article in english to make it more easily understandable for non-french people (yes, not everybody on earth speaks french !)

VRooM stands for "VR-Mobile" :
VRooM - The VR..Mobile (noticed everything in the logo ? ;-)

To make it short, it's a radio-controlled "Google car".
Like often, I have certainly not invented it. I just want here to share the idea (CC BY-SA) with other people.

Drones with camera already exist. Then often have a low quality built-in camera to transfer the video to the mobile while driving (and so allowing navigation without having the vehicule in sight).

Here, the goal is almost the same, but targets a more "film-like" recording system :
An high-quality VR camera (or any mobile phone, with any 1/4" screw adapter), can be hold by the car :

The roof was drilled to insert a standard mount, which can be extended by a standard selfie stick (a lateral "stabiliser" is currently under construction, to avoid barrel-rolling with the camera when stick is extended ;-).
The standard radio-control command has been drilled also and equipped with a mobile phone mount, allowing to receive video streaming while driving.

Here is the result (without "extender" for now) :

It is quite fun (an a little noisy), but the goal is to make it common for next-gen VR movies making (see also "Camboard").
